Ways To Get Children Involved in Gardening By Damien Gray Do you want to get the children out into the garden, helping out with the dirt digging ( a chore the kids absolutely adore). There are a few great ways to encourage children to garden. They are fascinated by the creatures in the garden, the worms, bugs and ants, they love watering the garden, planting seeds and watching their hard work bear fruit. There are some great ways to involve your children in the gardening decisions, particularly by giving them all-important responsibilities such as watering the plants on a regular basis. There may be chances to learn about the environment as well as giving them the feeling of doing important work. Buying the children their own gardening equipment is an important step to getting them involved. Gardening gloves, a hat, a little trowel and fork, watering can and wheelbarrow will get them off to a great start. And although planting a pot full of seeds is a great way to get the children started, there are any number of other great projects that will be sure to fascinate them.
